[REVIEW] : YESSTYLE

Assalamualaikum and bonjour my visitors~ Today I'll be reviewing(more like a first impression) an e-shopping site  YESSTYLE which I first discovered in a Facebook advertisement.


WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

YesStyle is e-shopping site for Asian (Korean,Japanese,Taiwanese) products mostly on beauty, fashion and lifestyle. If you an Asian beauty junkie like me or want to try cute Asian fashion then this is a place for you! Their mission : "To provide customers with an exciting shopping experience, superior service and a fine selection of affordable, high quality fashion, beauty and lifestyle products."

Now why I choose this instead of my previous favourite e-shopping sites like Althea.kr or Hermo.my ? Right now, I'm currently studying overseas in Europe where K-beauty is either difficult to find or the products are damn expensive. So this site offers much lower price than in physical stores (They even sell famous high end brands like SK-II and Shiseido )

WHAT'S SO COOL ABOUT IT?

This site offers  A LOT of awesome things. Hard to find Asian skin care/makeup, cute accessories and outfits etc... The best part : It ships to ALMOST ALL countries and offers FREE SHIPPING for a certain range of purchase. Seriously you can surf for hours until you can find the perfect purchase.

HOW TO SHOP AND TIPS

Elite member Club

Before you start buying, you need to register first. Once that, your're officially become a regular member. What is a regular member you may ask? Apparently, YesStyle has this 'elite club membership' status. The higher your status, the more offers you get. In general, the more you purchase, the more discounts you'll get. If you have done your first purchase, you'll automatically earn Stylebucks points and upgraded to Bronze member. You will continue until you become a Gold member which allows you to have 10% discount in all products. Here's the explained detail : YESSTYLE ELITE CLUB.

First time buyer (Everything will be stated in European currency €)

For your first purchase, you will receive a 10% discount (cannot be apply with other coupons codes) I will write in points.(A/N : You can change your desired currency at the right top of the web page)

1. Search your desired item (use keywords or brand name)
2. You can refine your search by price range, type, origine etc..(PC Version only)
3. Click on the item to view its description, reviews, similar products
4. Add to cart or Save (like a wish list or something)

Important stuff

• Payment can be done with credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard etc..) and Paypal and it's a secured Online Payment.

• Before 'Proceed Order', DON'T FORGET TO KEY IN YOUR COUPON CODE. That's the most important part. If you forgot, you're unable to cancel or modify your order (unless email customer service, but the waiting time will kill you).

• Your order depends on the availability of the product your purchase. This is because they need to wait for the product available to their warehouse. One product can only be available up to 20 days and does not include the shipping time. Every shipment provides a tracking number. So that's one of it's disadvantages : Long shipping time.

• For extra savings, purchase when they have promotions (Holidays, Monthly promotions, etc..).On of their advantages is that they ALWAYS have promotions LOL.

IS IT TRUSTWORTHY?

MY EXPERIENCE

I first order was placed on the 5th September and received on the 5th October even though I choose Express Shipping. Like I said, it depends on the product availability.

Because I choose express shipping, I need to pay custom tax which kinda sucks XD. I don't know about standard shipping though.

[ REVIEW ] : Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel

Assalamualaikum and Bonjour dear visitors~ Today I'll be reviewing one of my favourite skincare products : Nature Republic (NP) Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel.

USES OF ALOE VERA

So what is so special about Aloe Vera gel better yet that dessert plant itself. Aloe Vera has been used for health, beauty and even to our food. I remember of this one episode of Power Puff Girls (way back in the early 2000's when I was a kid) where the girls were sunburned and was treated with Aloe Vera until their skin is peeled O_O. So it was one of the benefits of Aloe Vera : after sun gel.

There are many Aloe Vera drinks available in the market and I tried the fresh extracted one and it was so good :D

NP's ALOE VERA

Now the main part. I've been using this gel since July where it was first time buying NP's products. The salesgirl said it Korea's most selling skin care product with over 30 million pieces sold worldwide. Now, I've been using 4 jars already :D  Let me break down the details.

Name : Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel

Brand : Nature Republic (Made from Korea)

Volume/Weight : 300 ml 

Price : At Malaysian retail store (RM 32.90), At Althea Korea (RM 15.00)

As you can see when I brought from Althea Korea the price is lower. That's because Althea Korea ships their products directly from the main country. But sometime, you can buy this gel at NP store in Malaysia with a good price during promotions.

REVIEWS

Packaging : A good sturdy green translucent plastic jar with a big volume. However it is not travel-friendly and there is no spatula available (for those who are hygienic of scooping using bare fingers).

it comes with a a lid to prevent spillage!

Price : Even in store retail price, for me it is quite cheap.

Scent ; Fresh and lovely-nature-like scent.

Appearance and uses : Due to the amount of alcohol (which may sting a bit for the first time), the gel is easily absorbed. Below are the uses and and what I've been used as and swap.

Clear and transparent gel with a mild scent

 1. Body Care : I use as my daily body lotion because I don't like lotions with creamy intensity and it absorbs fast and I once use at the skin between my thigh gap which was dry and it works!

2. Hair treatment : Use as hair mask before shampooing. Mix the gel with olive oil (not the cooking one!) and it will make your dry hair smooth and soft for a few days.

3. Moisturizer and mask pact : When I use as a overnight mask pact, The gel will dry up and absorb into the skin, after washing, my skin felt soft and plump.

4. Base make up : I was make a DIY cushion refill mix the gel with BB cream and CC cream i=with ratio 1:2:0.5, My makeup is more moisturizing and stays longer.

I'm not sure of other uses but I've seen many positive feedbacks. I might use as an after shave cream later as well.  

May I remind you there are fake ones sold out there. The obvious one is not the 92% gel one. It can vary from 98% , 80%, etc... Nature Republic sells 92% one ONLY. But if it's 92% and it may look fake, here's how to differentiate it : NP Aloe Vera Gel Real vs Fake

Should I recommend you to try this? Yes!!! Or else why this gel sold more than 30 MILLION pieces? LOL. Malaysians and Singaporeans can buy from Althea here link.

ALTHEA KOREA : K-Beauty In A Click!

Asslamualaikum and Hello everyone! Have you always love Korean Beauty products such as make up and skincare? I absolutely LOVE IT! But sometimes the prices of the products are the ones who make our wallets cry since it is imported from Korea which means TAXES that can increase the prices up to double or more. That’s when online shopping comes in handy. However how can we trust these websites? Today, I would like to tell you about this K-Beauty Online Store: Althea Korea.

Althea was first launched in 1 July 2015 and at the moment it only ships to two countries; Malaysia and Singapore. I think it will expand to Philippines soon. It will also expand to other SEA (South-East Asia) countries in the future.

Even though it’s still new, the response was positive. It provide you the best beauty products from famous Korean brands such as Laniege, Innisfree, Nature Republic, Etude House, W.Lab, Tony Moly etc…

ALTHEA PROMISES

Althea promises the products are 100% authentic with offering the best price for consumers. Take example of my favourite cushion foundation form Etude house. I once buy it from the retail store at RM138 (includes Wonder Pore Freshener during Buy 1 Free 1 promo) but this price is a steal. Only RM54.00? That’s more than half the price!!! Here are their promises!

HOW TO BUY, SHIPPING AND POINTS

Basically, there will be a ‘add to cart button’ on each product.  So it will automatically put in your cart except products that required you to choose (ex:  BB cream shades). Payment will be either in form of PayPal or from MOLPay (such as VISA, credit card, online banking; CIMB Clicks, etc…) I hope in the future there will be in the form of bank-in because not everyone have online banking accounts.

Shipping fees on Althea Korea are FREE when you purchase RM 150.00 and above. If below, it will depend on the weight of your Beauty Box.

MY FIRST EXPERIENCE FROM ALTHEA KOREA

I started using K-beauty products not long ago, since mid-July this year (Nature Republic and Etude House are my first ones). However, the prices make me rethink whether I would but it or not. I discovered Althea on a Facebook advertisement. After checking out the reviews and process I was determined to buy from them.  

I ordered on 24^th October and receive an email from Althea that my order was completed and ready for shipment on 26^th. Althea will send you your tracking number of your parcel and can be checked via e-cargo.

Althea policy is products will arrive 10-15 working days to Malaysia, but I received on 2^nd November which is 9 days! I do not know what courier they ship to though (They send to my university during which I had classes).

The packaging is so nice…. Pink, pink and more PINK! Inside each product is wrapped onto a bubble warp also on the pink box itself. Talk about excellent handling services.

FINAL THOUGHTS AND REVIEW

Super AWESOME and definitely repurchase from Althea again. No need to go to Korea for shopping beauty products anymore!!! (But I hope I will go to Korea in the future whether is to study or on a vacation.)
